The bath soak ritual.
Three steps. Twenty minutes.

Every Calmyuti product ships with its own protocol — the format is matched to the chemistry, so the routine has to follow. Below is the ritual for the bath soak: the master 23-minute reset, plus three variations for sleep, recovery, and travel days. When the next product lands, its ritual will land on this page too.

Master Protocol

The 23-minute reset.

Three steps. Same chemistry every time. The reset doesn't need a lotion to work — it needs water at the right temperature, salt at the right dose, and a window of time you'd otherwise spend on a screen.

01

Dissolve, don't dump.

Stir 2–3 heaped tablespoons of Pure Bath Soak (≈ 250 g) into warm bathwater at 37–39 °C as the tub fills. Let the magnesium sulfate dissolve fully before stepping in — uneven distribution means uneven absorption.

⏱ 2 min · 37–39°C ideal
02

Soak. Submerge. Settle.

Submerge to the shoulders. Twenty minutes is the window where Mg²⁺ absorption peaks against transepidermal water loss. Past thirty, your skin loses more water than it gains minerals. Put the phone in another room.

⏱ 20 min · No phone
03

Pat dry. Then wind down.

Pat — don't scrub. The skin is slightly tacky after a soak; that's the magnesium adhering to the stratum corneum. Robe on, lights low, screens away. The skin keeps absorbing for the next thirty minutes — give it the room to work. Hydrate. Bed within the hour.

⊙ Lights out within 60 min
Three Variations

For sleep. For recovery. For travel.

— 01 / Wind-Down

For sleep

Variant: Soothe & Sleep (lavender)
When: 60–90 minutes before bed
Soak: 20 min at 37–38 °C
After: Robe on, screens away, no caffeine past noon
Then: Lights out within 30 min

— 02 / Reset

For recovery

Variant: Pure (fragrance-free)
When: Within 90 min of training
Soak: 15 min at 38–39 °C
After: Hydrate, slow-walk for 5 min, light protein
Then: Stretch, foam-roll, sleep

— 03 / Travel

For long days

Variant: Relax & Relief (eucalyptus)
When: Day of travel + landing day
Soak: 10–15 min at 37 °C
After: Two glasses of water, electrolytes if humid
Then: Sleep at local time, skip the drink

Get it right

Five common mistakes.

Water too hot. +
Above 40 °C, transepidermal water loss starts to outpace mineral gain. Skin reads "dry" after, and the cardiovascular system works harder. 37–39 °C is the absorption window. Use a thermometer once or twice and you'll learn the feel.
Soaking too long. +
More time doesn't equal more magnesium. Mg²⁺ uptake plateaus around minute 18–22. Past minute 30, you're trading minerals for moisture. 20 minutes is the sweet spot.
Not letting it land. +
The bath does the chemistry. The thirty minutes after the bath does the rest. Skin keeps absorbing magnesium long after you towel off, and the nervous system needs the quiet to bank the relaxation. Walk straight to a screen and most of the benefit evaporates with the water. Robe on, lights low, hold the moment.
Scrubbing dry. +
A vigorous towel rub strips the salt and oil layer. Pat. Press. The skin should feel slightly tacky — that's the magnesium working.
Soaking on an empty stomach. +
Twenty minutes in 38 °C water on an empty stomach drops blood sugar. Light snack 30 min before, water bottle by the tub. Both products are non-medicinal, but the bath itself is a cardiovascular event.
